Terms of Service
The short version: it's free, it's public, mail disappears after an hour, and you must not use it to hurt anyone.
Last updated: October 2026
1. Agreement
These terms cover your use of MeowMail: the website at meowmail.in, the public API at api.meowmail.in, the browser extension, and the MeowMail plugin for ChatGPT (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2. What the service is
- MeowMail gives you disposable email addresses that can only receive mail. It cannot send, reply to, or forward email.
- There are no accounts. An inbox is reachable by anyone who knows its address, so treat every inbox as public.
- Every email is deleted one hour after it arrives, and cannot be recovered afterwards.
- The service is free and provided by an individual maintainer. Features, domains, and limits may change or be withdrawn at any time.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use MeowMail. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with a parent or guardian's permission.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- break any law, or help anyone else break one;
- commit fraud, impersonate someone, or receive mail meant for a person or organisation you are not;
- open accounts in bulk, abuse free trials or promotions, evade bans, or otherwise get around another service's rules about who may use it;
- harass, threaten, or spam people, or receive material that exploits children;
- attack, overload, scrape, or probe the service — including getting around rate limits, quotas, or other technical restrictions; or
- read inboxes you were not given, beyond what the public design of the service makes unavoidable.
We may block addresses, domains, API keys, or network ranges that we believe are being misused, without notice.
5. Don't rely on it for anything important
Because inboxes are public and mail expires after an hour, MeowMail is not suitable for accounts you need to keep or recover — banking, email, government, health, work, or anything with money or personal data in it. If you sign up somewhere with a MeowMail address, you may lose access to that account. That risk is yours.
6. Developer API
The public API is subject to the rate limits and quotas published in the API documentation. API keys are free, are bearer tokens, and may be revoked if they go unused or are abused. Keep yours secret.
7. The ChatGPT plugin
The MeowMail plugin lets ChatGPT create addresses and read their mail on your behalf. It follows these same terms. Emails are written by whoever sent them, not by MeowMail, and may contain misleading content or instructions — check anything important yourself. Your use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI's own terms and policies.
8. Content you receive
MeowMail does not write, review, or endorse the emails delivered to its inboxes, and is not responsible for them. Attachments are not scanned for malware — open them at your own risk.
9. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or that any particular email will be delivered.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MeowMail and its maintainer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any lost accounts, data, or profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Privacy
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes and ending use
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service means you accept it. We may suspend or stop the service, or your access to it, at any time. You can stop using it at any time — there is no account to close.
